A bronze sculpture by Fernando Bernad Casorran, based on the work by Abelló entitled “La Garriganga”, painted in 1947.

It was unveiled along with the new Municipal Market and draws inspiration from a marketeer named Carme Niubó Paré, who was born in 1919 in La Garriga (hence the title, “Garriganga”). As a girl, she moved with her family to Can Calet, in Sant Fost, where they kept a vegetable garden.

In the 1930s, she would push a cart that she herself built down to Mollet to sell seasonal fruit and vegetables.

La Garriganga was a popular and highly beloved person among the residents of Mollet.
