Figure of a harlequin balancing on a sphere. This sculpture draws inspiration from the painting Harlequin (1955), by the Mollet-native artist. Abelló reproduced it first in clay and then in plaster; afterwards, with a mould, Fernando Bernad Cassorán cast it in bronze using the lost-wax technique.
To Abelló, the harlequin was a special character, one related to a Bohemian lifestyle, the circus and joy. Ábelló’s Harlequin has a become a symbol of Mollet.
