A life-sized bronze figure that represents a young passer-by reading a newspaper in the street, as an allegory for people with a desire to keep informed.

The aim of this sculpture is to link information with culture and knowledge, while walking and enjoying the city.

The Newspaper Reader, popular among the people of Mollet, has on occasion appeared wearing a hat and scarf or holding a newspaper or magazine.
