The residential part of the Can Mulà farmhouse dates to the early 20th century. In 1990, it was enlarged and adapted for its current use as a public library.
The farmhouse’s cobblestone façades are symmetrical and have lowered semicircular arch windows and doors. The attic features elliptical stone-framed windows, while the roof has a lookout tower. Of particular note are the ground-floor gallery and raised terrace. The courtyard is home to the Mollet Menhir.
The Can Mulà farmhouse lends its name to the park in which it is located, a large green area in the heart of the city that, in 1982, was adapted for use as a public space, yet which still preserves areas for crops and a vegetable garden.
