Amadó Pharmacy

The building which houses the Amadó Pharmacy dates to the Modernist era, from the early 20th century. Its present-day façade was renovated around 1930, at the request of Ricard Canal Puigdomènech, the owner.

The building, which has a ground floor and two additional storeys, is historicist in style and takes its name from the pharmacy it has housed since 1944, founded by Joan Amadó.

The ogival arch doorway features a door forged by Joan Fortuny Santamaria. On the first floor is a balcony with an iron railing and a moulded awning over the lintel. The top floor has three geminated windows with lobed lintels and two thin columns.
