The area in which the park now stands were once the vegetable garden and gardens of Farinera Moretó, a flour mill that remains in operation.

La Farinera Garden is the perfect place for some peace and quiet, as it conceals numerous nooks and crannies in which to escape the bustle of the city beneath the soothing shade of the pines and holly oaks which take up much of the garden.

Prominent is a central row of linden trees, some of which are remnants of the old garden, as well as numerous trees planted when the site was a tree nursery, such as cypress trees, firs and pines. It is also home to several hazelnut and walnut trees and a series of terracotta pots with boxwoods pruned into balls, reminiscent of the old topiaries from the original Neoclassical garden.
