Rambla de Pompeu Fabra was landscaped with a view to embellishing the final stretch of the median. The vegetation is comprised of species which are adapted to the urban environment and Mediterranean climate and require little maintenance, thanks to the use of drip irrigation and an overlay of gravel, which traps moisture and prevents weeds from growing.

Species include pomegranates, false pepper trees, sapindales and field maples, grasses and numerous flowering species such as Bulbinella, society garlic, Agapanthus, tree germander, rosemary, Gaura and daisies.

In 2016, it was named Best Public Floral Space by the panel from the Floral Villages competition.
