Mollet’s Carnival celebrations are truly distinctive. They have their own King Carnival, dressed in vibrant and highly unique clothing, designed by the acclaimed Fabià Puigserver.

At the heart of Carnival are the “barraló dance”, recovered and performed by Mollet’s Esbart Dansaire, and a captivating cast of imaginative and original characters, who are played by local groups such as The Astres Grup, Fènix Teatre and the company Carnamolles and bring the Arrival and Trial of King Carnival to life.

The Mollet Carnival dates back to 1884, with the “baile de trajes” and “ball del barraló” dances.
