Gallecs Town Fair

The Gallecs Town Fair is held during the weekend closest to the feast day of Saint James, its patron saint.

A large number of festive and traditional activities for both young and old take place in the square outside the Romanesque Santa Maria de Gallecs Church and the threshing floor at Can Carol.

Traditional activities include a pot-luck dinner, in which everyone brings their own food and rents a chair for a token fee, as well as music concerts, mass and a human castle performance, which take place on Saint James’ Day. The fair’s finale is enlivened with a “havaneres” concert and burnt rum.
