The MITMO is the cornerstone of Mollet’s annual calendar of events. It has become a benchmark showcase in Catalonia for the international puppetry scene, with companies from all over the world.

The event was first organised in 2007 for these purposes by the Mollet-based puppeteers Galiot Teatre, in cooperation with the Municipal Council. Since then, Mollet has welcomed a host of puppetry companies from around Spain and the world.

The Festival takes place over the course of one weekend in the first half of April.
