Els Pinetons Park
Located on Ronda de Pinetons, directly opposite Mollet Hospital. It is one of the entrances to Gallecs, through a gangway that crosses the AP-7, along the route known as the “Bandits’ Ridge” (Carena dels Bandolers).
Access is free.
Situated at the highest point of Mollet, it offers lovely views of the rural area of Gallecs, the urban area and the mountainous massifs which surround the Vallès region. The park is a gateway to Gallecs and includes a picnic area and fountain.
It was designed to recreate a patchwork agro-forest landscape with a wealth of biodiversity: almond trees, olive trees, carob trees, apple trees, walnut trees and hazelnut trees, among meadows, crops and small pine, holly oak and oak groves... Many of the trees have been planted as part of the Tree Festival, a highly popular activity in Mollet.
Two large stone windmills harness groundwater sources for irrigation and create a small pool and stream.
