Routes for discovering Mollet del Vallès

Mollet is a prosperous city that, as it has grown, has sought to keep people at the centre of its priorities. In addition to providing all manner of services (healthcare, education, culture, sports, leisure activities, business services, etc.), Mollet also offers the opportunity to enjoy exceptional natural surroundings as a result of its privileged location; thanks to the large number of garden areas and the Gallecs Special Conservation Area, over half of Mollet’s surface area is green.

The Mollet Essentials Route brings to light this dual nature: urban route URBAN AND RURAL ROUTE

Mollet is home to buildings built in a host of different styles, some of which are protected due to their architectural value. These include the Romanesque church in Gallecs; the Can Mulà Library, surrounded by the Can Mulà Park; the Abelló Museum, housed inside a Modernist building built in 1908; Can Gomà, home to the Municipal School of Music and Dance and the Municipal Theatre; the façades of the Amadó Pharmacy and Casa Viñas; La Marineta, formerly a popular inn and today a community and cultural centre; the home with a Modernist façade on Carrer de Itàlia; the Can Borrell farmhouse and tower (12th century), today a community centre; the private houses on Carrer de Berenguer III; the Mollet Hospital, in the Can Borrell district, with excellent views of Gallecs; and the new Municipal Market, situated in the centrally-located area known as L’Illa.
