This oak tree was planted in commemoration of the city’s millennial anniversary, calculated based on the first document bearing the name of Moledo, from 993. Next to it, a stone block recalls the early days of life in Mollet.
In the 16th and 17th centuries, the Municipal Council, comprised of Parets and Gallecs, would meet beneath a series of oak trees known as En Manent, according to a document from 1573. “And these twelve people would meet in the customary place, beneath the En Manent oak trees, which would provide shelter from the rain, otherwise they would meet at the Ros d’Amunt farmhouse.”
